If you have a CUHK OnePass account, please login via "OnePass" to enjoy the added benefits (Details: http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/itsc/onepass/index.html).
There are two issues with OnePass reported by users which we would like to bring to your attention:
|1||Some IE users reported that "Single Sign-Out" does not work on CU eLearning System if they "logout" from other OnePass enabled applications. |
IE users are suggested to completely close IE (all tabs) after using the system.
|2||OnePass (CWEM) password no longer allows use of certain special characters such as ' / ' and ' " '.|
If you fail to login via OnePass and your OnePass (CWEM) password contains such special characters, please visit https://cai.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/chgpwd/ to change your CWEM password to a new one following the instructions on the page.
If you encountered any other problems logging in via "OnePass", please login via "Other Login" temporarily and submit your problem to us via https://servicedesk.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk. Thank you.
Quite a number of users reported recently that their internet browser Internet Explorer (IE) got automatically updated to IE11 via Automatic Updates and that they are experiencing difficulties accessing CU eLearning System using IE11 after the update.
Users should note that IE 11 is NOT a supported browser of CU eLearning System. (Supported browsers)
For users who have upgraded their IE to IE11, please switch to other browsers such as Firefox or Chrome.
We still received reports that lots of garbage printeout was found in ITSC user areas and computer laboratories. We understand that it's high season and all students are working hard to prepare for the upcoming exams.
However, please be alerted that printing PDF file directly from web browsers, such as IE, may result in garbage when you print out your notes and lecture handouts for revision.
Please save the PDF file you would like to print to disk first, then open it with Adobe Reader to print it. Rollover the document and you should be able to see the "Save a Copy" button. (Screen shot)
Please consider the environment. Think twice before you print.
